Error from Fedora Rawhide x86_64 guest with 4.6.0-0.rc0.git20.1.fc25.x86_64 kernel:
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 4.6.0-0.rc0.git20.1.fc25.x86_64 (x86_64) Consult /var/lib/dkms/vboxguest/5.0.16/build/make.log for more information.

The make.log file is much smaller than usual and it appears to be a different type of error. However, I double-checked and it doesn't appear to be user error. I can successfully build guest additions for 4.6.0-0.rc0.git13.1.fc25.x86_64, but not for 4.6.0-0.rc0.git20.1.fc25.x86_64, using the exact same procedure.

Fixed in VirtualBox 5.0.18 (even though it's not mentioned in the Changelog). Thanks.

Guest additions break with 4.7 kernel. Filed https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/15444 .
