Enhancing vbox-img from VBoxManage

Description
vbox-img is capable of doing things from VBoxManage and maybe this can be enhanced further to contain all useful things from VBoxManage that affect disk images. For example "vbox-img compact" does not show any progress while I remember that "VBoxManage modifyhd" has done this which could also be implemented in vbox-img.

Many things can be done, but in this case I'm questioning the sanity of the request. vbox-img is a "hacker tool" with very special purpose, namely stand-alone image manipulation (which is very different from what !VBoxManage is meant to do). I consider it a waste of developer time polishing it to show progress and so on. It doesn't cooperate with the VirtualBox API, which makes it a rather dangerous tool, because one can confuse VirtualBox.
