on OSX host setting up
1st NIC: PCnet fast III NAT connected 2nd NIC: e1000 NAT disconnected
crashes vbox on startup

Actually I frobbed the wrong setting.
It was set up as
e1000 (not attached) (cable connected)
It is sufficient to set up a single NIC with these settings to crash VBox
