Description
Guest input-output hangs when writing to a fixed-size disk, saved on the host in a compressed file on the FS btrfs. Host OS: Ubuntu. Compressed files very helpful.

I am having same issue using VirtualBox 5.2.8.
When enabling btrfs compression, all the vdi-related operations fail.
