Description
I upgraded my VirtualBox installation from Version 5.0.24 to Version 5.1.0. When starting my Windows 10 VM it freezes on startup when the Windows logo with the rotating dots beneath it is shown. The operating system of the host is openSUSE Tumbleweed. I've attached the logfile of the VM if you need more informations i'll try to provide them...
kind regards,
Christoph

The reason might be the new I/O-APIC code which was introduced in VBox 5.1.0. I fear we need a reproduction scenario. We have tested Windows 10 guests as well and never saw a problem. If the guest works with VBox 5.1.0 after you disabled the I/O-APIC then this would be a hint to the new I/O-APIC code. I fear we would need to have the exact same VM for testing but this isn't possible for legal reasons.

I disabled I/O APIC as suggested, but then Windows 10 will refuse to start (it keeps showing the "Repair PC" screen). So it look like we are stuck here?
