Solaris 10 host issue: DVD unaccessable

Description
When using Virtual Box 1.6 the DVD is not recognized by the Solaris 10 host. I have followed the instructions in the VirtualBox user guide as well as tips found on the VirtualBox forums

I had a few hickups when trying to mount a DVD as well but this is not related to VirtualBox. Sometimes "vold" on the host doesn't do the right thing and therefore even on the host the DVD doesn't mount.
Once mounted you should see something like "/vol/dev/rdsk/c0t0d0" as the DVD drive on Solaris 10.
Try doing a "pkill vold" to see if it helps.
