Description
I am running Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) and my virtual machines do not recognize the Windows key - I would love to be able to use shortcuts like Win+R and Win+D in my virtual machines. I've attached a screenshot of my keyboard preferences that may be relevant. If I should change that setting to a certain value then please let me know.

I did two things, one of which fixed the problem:
1) Started with a fresh Ubuntu install 2) Moved to VBox 2.x
I am not sure what happened - maybe I had an odd keyboard setting somewhere. So I guess you are correct to close this bug. Thanks.
While I'm sure you have a legitimate problem, I'm running VirtualBox 1.6.4 and a fresh install of Ubuntu 8.04. My guest OS of Windows XP Pro OEM w/ SP3 responds to the Windows key.
