Description
I have windows 10 host with windows 10 guest and when I try to configure the shared folders it hangs always and I have to kill the process. It is the same where I configure it, in the VM manager (guest turned off) after choosing the folder on the host it hangs, in the virtual machine menu as soon as I try to configure a shared folder it hangs and I can't choose any folder on the host. I was checking the log file of both (VM manager and virtual machine) but there is exactly nothing. I saw other similar tickets about shared folders hanging, but not really my problem, in my case it freezes during the configuration of the shared folder, and moreover the other tickets have been resolved.

No I don't have any 3rd party "namespace" installed, but I'm connected to my local home network and there are other devices connected to it. But I use also VBox at work and I never had such issues, and at work we have many network drivers and other devices.
Do you have a 3rd party "namespace" installed? A namespace is something that provides additional browsing capabilities to the Windows Explorer, like Bluetooth phones or networked folders or similar. You can see it easily if you open a Windows Explorer window, they appear on the left hand side as additional top-level items.
