Mac OS X, VMM: Can not close "about box" when new version pop-up is open at VMM startup

Description
This is difficult to reproduce, as it only happens when the new version popup appears when starting VMM. If the new version announcement pop-up is not cleared, and the about box is displayed, the about box cannot be closed.
Scenario: Start VMM VMM displays pop-up announcement for newer version Click on Virtual Box menu, click About Virtual Box the about box cannot be closed with either the close button or the red "x".
Manually displaying the new version announcement does not have this effect.
