Description

GUEST is UBUNTU, Host is windos10. I JUST GOT UPDATED(small update) MY WINDOWS 10(earlier also windos10) HOST. before update of windos10, virtualbox working finely. After update, virtualbox not opening and shows error. failed to open a session Machinewrap E_FAIL 0x80004005. please try to help me in fixing.

After making 110% sure that Hyper-V is disabled in the Windows Features, you might want to make sure that Fast Boot is disabled and do a cold boot (i.e. shut down the host for a minute or two). You also must make sure that nothing else is using Hyper-V, things like antivirus, debuggers, emulators, etc.

Check out the article Diagnosing VirtualBox Hardening Issues to get some ideas. I would start by uninstalling Avast.

I have uninstalled my Avast antivirus, then disabled my Fast Startup and done a system reboot, but still showing the same error of failed to open a session (V machine terminated with error code 1). I have added one more snapshot of my Virtualbox settings storage. is there any file (.VDI) is missing? If so, please help me by telling procedure of adding the file.
