Cursor disappears during Linux installation

Description
When using 6.0.2 and 6.0.4 to install Oracle Enterprise Linux 7.5 the cursor disappears and is replaced by a smudge-like object. However that object is displaced by random factor of pixels in the X and Y direction making it unusable. On version 5.X the smudge was also there, but so was the cursor - so I lived with it, but now I can not install the OEL 7.5.
