Description
Hello,
Drag and drop from guest (Ubuntu 18.04) to host (Windows 10) fails : the file is not created on host and following message box appears on guest : "Dropping data...0%" but stays at 0% undefinitely. (drag and drop is working perfectly from host to guest).
Please find attached host and guest log files.
Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Socratis,
Thank you for you quick answer :-)
6.0.6 solved "Dropping data popup message error" from Guest to Host.
Nontheless, a remaining issue (already present in 6.0.4 but much more systematic in 6.0.6) is that drag and drop from guest to host is impossible when drag and drop destination is top of guest windows or left of guest windows (in these two cases, file is stuck and does not cross guest window border). When drag and drop destination is right of guest windows or bottom of guest windows, drag and drop success but only when drag and drop mouse speed is very slow. In these two last cases, if drag and drop mouse speed is too high, dragged file is stuck in guest window and does not cross guest window border.
Please find a new attachment image to illustrate.
As you can see, drag and drop is not completely fixed in 6.0.6 with guest Ubuntu 18.04.
Thank you,
Damien

Can you please try with the latest test build for VirtualBox 6.1? You can get the latest test builds on the Testbuilds page.
Please note that also the Guest Additions of this test build need to be installed on the guest, followed by a guest reboot.
Let me know if this fixes the issue for you. Thank you!

Hello. Won't pollute author's report by adding my own logs unless queried by a developer.
Host (not in nested virtualisation environment): Fedora 35; kernel v. 5.16.x; Gnome 41 on X.org; VirtualBox GUI v.6.1.32_rpmfusion r149290, (Qt5.15.2). Guests: Fedora 35, Windows 10.
Note: GA installed by relying solely on this application built-in tool and therefore not by solely relying on the package present in Fedora repository that covers a similar task. Indeed that package does not serve any missing function and should then be removed; that's a separate issue, not involving this application.
- Drag and drop: operation only working from host to guest; a denied-icon is exhibited in host, in Nautilus, when attempting to operate from guest to host.
- Clipboard not working bidirectionally tested by copy/paste operations.
