VirtualBox does not start when docked

Description
VirtualBox starts invisible when launched from a Windows 10 PC docked to a Thunderbolt 3 docking station. Disconnecting the docking cable (before or after launching VirtualBox) makes the app visible. The cable can then be reinserted, the app stays open and works OK.
Environment:
- Dell Precision 5530
- Dell Thunderbolt TB16 docking station
- Windows 10 Pro (1903)
