Updated to 5.2.34 and now VM constantly crashes

This is running Win9x DOS and using dos network support.

This crash typically occurs after I load DOS with networking, then reboot via ctrl-del, then boot to a boot manager and go to partition work. The whole vm goes down. This is new, been doing this for years, typically under VirtualPC but now under Win10 so need to use VirtualBox. Been using it for a month or two.
