Description
Mac version 6.0.14 r133895. VB runs, but when I attempt to run my Win10 installation that worked fine under Mojave, I get the error:
Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Win10.
The virtual machine 'Win10' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) Component: MachineWrap Interface: IMachine {5047460a-265d-4538-b23e-ddba5fb84976}
I re-downloaded the 6.0.14 Mac installer and attempted to reinstall, but got "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
I suspect the major changes in Catalina's operating system structure is not allowing the needed kexts to be installed.

Please try with the latest release and reopen if still valid, also please attach at least a VBox.log of the affected VM if possible and a VBoxSVC.log

That depends. Did you allow Oracle to install kexts in the Security Preferences? According to Apple's own documentation?
It's usually better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the VirtualBox forums, a lot more eyes there. More than 95% of the issues are resolved in the forums, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of. For example, yours is most probably not a bug and someone from the developers has to deal with it and close it as "Invalid".
Plus a discussion and analysis on the bug tracker is going to help me, is going to help you, and potentially a future drive-by user or two. Not so in the forums, many more tend to benefit.
So, please open a new thread in the VirtualBox on Mac OS X Hosts section of the forums. Please be sure to mention that you came from the bug tracker and include the ticket number.
