Description
It is a weird corner usecase nowadays but still. It is impossible to enable 3d acceleration support in XP. Guest additions installation have 3D acceleration feature grayed out, it says I need to have 256MB of vram assigned to the guest. But...
First: If I choose WinXP in the machine settings dialog it only let me enable 3D acceleration with VBoxVGA adapter and 128 of vram.
Second: Even if I lie and choose Win7 and VBoxSVGA 256MB, the guest addition setup doesn't change and still has this option grayed out. Yet the system recognizes that video adapter has 256MB of vram.
I've tried it in safemode also with no luck.
