Frequent crashing with The Instruction at 0x... referenced memory at 0x... The memory could not be read

Description

I have read many similar posts and tried the recommended fixes, but I am still having the issue.

Host: Windows 10 pro, 16Gb ram, updated the video drivers Guest: Ubuntu, 8Gb, 256Mb video mem

Seems to happen most frequently when I am running VSCode and click on any menu or context menu.

From the addresses involved it appears it maybe related to 3D.

Could you disable 3D Acceleration for the VM (in VM settings -> Display) and check if the problem goes away?

I was researching and found a suggestion to run VSCode with an option that disables the GPU. The issue has not happened again. Not sure if it's a VS Code issue or VM or driver. It is a workaround for now.
