new vm other os 64bit does not create 64 bit (at least photon os doesnt think it does)

new vm
choose other os 64bit does not create 64 bit env
(at least photon os doesnt think it does and fails to install)
workaround choose linux | oracle 64 bit then install photon os

I was using the ISO image from:
https://github.com/vmware/photon/wiki/Downloading-Photon-OS
http://dl.bintray.com/vmware/photon/3.0/Rev2/iso/Update1/photon-3.0-a0f216d.iso
and configured a new VM using OS type "other/64bit" and the install runs fine and the final installed Linux VM boots in 64bit mode as well. I've attached its config file for reference. This was done with Virtualbox 6.1.4 on a Ubuntu 18.04.04 host.
