It is the Oracle VM virtualBox Manager interface (where you can see the installed vm at the left side) which changes to a blank screen.
The three ubuntu instances are running fine.

I noticed though that when i rightclick on the Oracle VM Virtualbox icon in the window taskbar, and then click on Oracle VM Virtualbox that a new window will open that works (and then just close the blank screen).
