Hi sharan312,

Please make sure you have assigned enough video memory to graphics adapter in VM settings. If it does not help, please attach VBox.log.

I'm running LinuxMint 21.1 XFCE in a Virtualbox (Version 6.1.36_Ubuntu r152435) VM and see similar black screen after the VM is left inactive for a while and Mint goes into screen saver (logged out) mode. The VM was not running in full screen mode and the display setting was default VMSVGA and 3D was not enabled. No mouse or keyboard actions could refresh the display. My *guess* is mouse/kb events are not reaching the VM once it sleeps, but dunno.

Host OS is Linux Pop!_OS 22.04 (based on Ubuntu 22.04) $ uname -a Linux pop-os 6.0.6-76060006-generic #202210290932~1669062050~22.04~d94609a SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Mon N x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The VM display memory was set to 64MB, I just changed it to 128MB to see if this has any effect.
