Description
Hello!
I'm using Windows XP and Delphi 7 controlled by VirtualBox. Everything was perfect until update to 6.1.40.
Drag & drop stopped working when editing forms in Delphi. As I rolled back to the previous version everything got okey again. Now I'm working in 6.1.16, but it seems there were no problems between 6.1.16 and 6.1.39.
Regards and thanks.

Hi galitsyn,
I've upgraded to 6.1.40 again. The problem persists. Please see VBox.log attached.
As to the problem with Drag and drop: instead of capturing the object on the screen, the pointer works in selection mode.
I hope this will help. Best regards. Thanks.

Sorry, just now realized: not only Delphi! Any drag&drop operation, for example of selected text in text editor, fails.

Hi SergeB,
Thank you for the log. Have you tried PS/2 mouse in VM config?
Not yet. I have no PS/2 at hand now. Will try and let you know in a few days.

Hi SergeB,
I mean selecting PS/2 Pointing Device in VM Settings -> System.

Hi galitsyn,
Sorry for the long delay: we have hard blackouts almost every day here.
Yes, PS/2 helped. Thanks a lot!
Regards.

Hi SergeB,
Please use it as a temporary workaround for now. VirtualBox 7.0.4 already has problematic commit removed, the next version of VBox 6.1 will also have the fix. I am closing this ticket as a duplicate of #21139.
Hi SergeB,
Without VBox.log it's only possible to do guesses. Do you observe any changes if you set Pointing Device to PS/2 Mouse in VM config? If not, please attach VBox.log.
