Description (last modified by )
Hi Team,
I recently encountered an issue while trying to run my CentOS 7.9 VM with GNOME on VirtualBox 7.0.10. After exporting it from vSphere and importing it into VirtualBox, I faced a booting problem where it got hung during startup. Despite attempting to fix it by installing additional VirtualBox packages, the issue persisted.
As a troubleshooting step, I removed the GNOME environment using 'yum remove gnome*' which surprisingly resolved the booting problem. However, my requirement is to have the VM with GNOME intact.
The error message I encountered was "started-update-utmp-about-system-runlevel-changes".
I'm seeking advice or assistance on how to resolve this issue and successfully run the VM with GNOME on VirtualBox. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
