#22093 new defect
Windows VM boot is completely broken
Reported by: | mrlinuxwiz | Owned by: | |

Keywords: | Windows 10 boot fail | Cc: | mrlinuxwiz |

Description
I run VB on my Xubuntu 22.04 fully updated native host.
I updated to VB 7.0.18 with guest additions yesterday.
Now neither of my two Windows 10 VMs will boot - they stop after the "Start" and say they can't boot, please insert a CD / DVD.
These VMs were running perfectly until yesterday's update to 7.0.18. Even my Win 7 VM still boots, just not Win 10.

It appears that my VM image was somehow corrupted.
I restored a backup image from last month and it booted fine after "repairing" itself.
