Thanks for your reply. I wanted to ask if there is any solution without updating to the latest version? The reason is if I install the latest version of VirtualBox, I need to change the directory permissions in the Windows. I fear this might create a security vulnerability. I find 7.0.14 to be the latest version which wouldn't ask me to change permissions.

Hi pravi,
Initial support for RHEL 9.5 kernel was added in 7.0.20 with extra improvements in 7.0.22 (see Changelog-7.0). I am afraid there is no other way to make it work other than upgrading. General recommendation is to have all parts -- VirtualBox host installation, Extension pack and Guest Additions -- with matching versions. Upgrade to 7.0.24 or 7.1.6 is recommended.

I downloaded VirtualBox 7.1.6-167084. I wanted to install in a custom location (F:\) in my laptop. Hence, I opened PowerShell (Run as administrator) and ran the first command (screenshot attached). It threw me a slew of errors. It gave the same errors in Command Prompt too. Please help me rectify these errors and proceed further.

Please attach the MSI logs when installing VirtualBox to your custom location.

I followed the 'Automatic Activation' under 'Installer Log' in URL: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/MSI_Logging I've attached this file. Please let me know if this is the one you are looking for. I'm sorry I am not aware on how to get the exact file. It would be helpful if some instructions are given to fetch.

I followed the entire steps again in the URL: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/MSI_Logging except for 'Cleaning Up'.
I've attached compressed 7Zip folder of the following files which were generated: i) installer.log (replacing the old installer.log attachment) ii) setupapi.dev.log iii) setupapi.offline.log iv) setupapi.setup.log v) setupapi.upgrade.log
I was unable to find: vi) setupapi.app.log vii) setupapi.log
Please let me know if these are fine.

Closing as invalid since there is no original issue.
Hi pravi,
Please update to the latest VirtualBox and Guest Additions version. There were number of fixes in this area since 7.0.14.
