"3D accel" for guest _was_ enabled for the failing guest.

DISabling "3D accel" cures the fail for the 7.1.6 rpm release, re-upgraded from 7.1.4.

confirmed for all Linux & Windows guests here. of course, not helpful for guests that _do_ need 3D accel

Your issue with Fedora 41 guest VM is not reproduced on my Ubuntu 24.04.1 host. But I'm also using a bit different graphics HW and driver:

Intel(R) Xe Graphics (TGL GT2)
open-source Mesa driver 24.2.8

Will recheck it on Fedora 41 host now. Could you try with Ubuntu 24.04.1 host on your side (if you have one)?
