Problems with the saved state in Ubuntu 7.04 as guest, Windows XP host

Description
Host: WindowsXP, guest Ubuntu 7.04. When the machine state is saved and the Computer is powered off or in standby and then the computer is switched on again the virtual machine is frozen, doesn't react anymore. This problem only exists for Ubuntu 7.04, not for 6.10. This is a problem of the completely installed system, but this problem exists already when I boot the live cd image without having installed anything.
