Description
When trying to start a virtual machine of mine I get an alert sheet with a single "OK" button saying:
Unable to restore the virtual machine's saved state from '/Users/lars/Library/VirtualBox/Machines/FreeBSD 7.0/Snapshots/{aed10561-3b8b-4bf3-3e8c-a63e0af8c828}.sav'. It may be damaged or from an older version of VirtualBox. Please discard the saved state before starting the virtual machine. VBox status code: -1822 (VERR_SSM_DATA_UNIT_FORMAT_CHANGED).
Fehlercode: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) Komponente: Console Interface: IConsole {d5a1cbda-f5d7-4824-9afe-d640c94c7dcf}
as soon as I click "OK" the machine is shut down. I would be really good if I could somehow recover from that situation, like having an option to reset the VM would be sufficient here.

Which VirtualBox version created this saved state then? 2.x is backwards compatible with 1.6, but not with earlier versions. That can't be changed.

1.6.2 IMHO. Anyway I could recover my VM by deleting the snapshot in ~/Library/VirtualBox/Machines/FreeBSD 7.0/Snapshots.
I think there should be a reset button anyway which does exactly this.

Lars

Should be really working now since some releases. Please reopen if necessary. If you experience such a case, please make sure to provide the version number of VBox which made the saved state and the release of VBox which tries to load the saved state).
Alert sheet for corrupt saved VM, there is no way to recover from that situation, an "Reset" button would be fine
