Similar seems to happen to me since upgrading to 2.0.2 (and upgrading the guest tools).
Host: 32 bit Ubuntu 8.04.1, kernel: 2.6.24-21-generic SMP VirtualBox 2.0.2 direct from virtualbox.org
Accessing a shared folder seems to _sometimes_ result in the guest (Vista Enterprise 32 bit) going totally black on the display. I can still pause and resume it (last two entries in the log), but it is otherwise unresponsive. The problem seems to hit with:
01:48:06.082 Guest Log: !!Assertion Failed!! 01:48:06.082 Guest Log: Expression: VBOX_SUCCESS(rc) 01:48:06.083 Guest Log: Location : C:\vbox\src\VBox\Additions\common\VBoxGuestLib\PhysHeap.cpp(178) vbglPhysHeapEnter 01:48:06.084 Guest Log: Failed to request heap mutex, rc = -79
Hadn't observed issues with 2.0.0
I use NAT networking, and access the shared folder via \vboxsvr\SHARE (which is setup in virtualbox).
Thanks

These assertions are fixed in 2.0.4. Please update to this version (including the guest additions) once the release is out.

I have removed some superfluous information from the bug description. Actually this is a problem of the guest additions. I don't think this has anything to do with the host.
Am I right that your guest crashed? A BSOD? What did you do, how easy is it to reproduce this crash?
