The camera was detected and the led turn on but no image only black screen.

I confirm this problem. I am running Windows XP as a guest running on VirtualBox on a Ubuntu Intrepid machine. USB support was enabled and works flawlessly for USB portable hard disk devices.
Windows XP also detects that the device connected to the machine is a USB Video device. But when you open the device in Windows, the USB Webcame LED comes on, but the screen shows a blank input. Further, trying to take a picture on Windows xp fails.

If this is a duplicate, please tell us what it is a duplicate of. This problem is un-addressed and as far as I know is not a duplicate.

Duplicate of #242. Add your comments there. It's not very useful to have multiple defects for the same problem. There is a search function.
