Description (last modified by )
VirtualBox 2.0.2 on Ubunut 8.04.1 host, attempting to create a Windows 2000 VM from scratch. About 3/4 of the way through the install process, during the process where files are actually copied to disk, the server resets and starts the install process all over again.
I tried creating a fixed disk instead of a dynamic disk, same results.

User manual 11.2.2.
There is no 11.2.2 in the user manual. Issue still present on newest version.

Today it's in section 12.3.3 Windows 2000 install failures, in the Troubleshooting chapter. It's a bug in the Windows 2000 IDE driver (only the copy in the ISO, the one which will be installed on the hard disk works perfectly, so don't forget to undo the workaround after the install is complete, it does have quite some performance impact).
