Shared clipboard no longer works on 2.0.4

The shared clipboard (uni or bi-directional) does not work at all with version 2.0.4. This feature did work (although sporadically) with version 2.0.2.

Win Host: Windows XP Pro (up to date - SP3) Linux Guest: Kubuntu 8.04 (up to date - KDE 4.1.2)

I did some test and it´s working fine (for text, images, sound)

• Host: WinXP SP3
• Guest: WinXP SP3

bg, please attach a VBox.log file of such a VM session.

Kubuntu (8.04) released some new kernel header files today (10/28/2008). After installing the kernel files and reinstalling/compiling the VBox GuestAdditions, the shared clipboard features are now working again.

If the problem reappears, I will attach a VBox.log.

With a win vista 64bit host and Ubuntu 64 bit guest, the clipboard still doens't work. I already tried the following: reinstalling guestadditions, updating Ubuntu-reinstalling guestadditions, copy-paste inside guest, copy-paste inside host. none of these tries did any good with regard to the clipboard.

i'll attach (a part of) the logfile.

mejusti: is this still an issue? By the way, the log that you attached when you re-opened this ticket showed that you were using the clipboard in host to guest mode.

Please reopen if this problem persists with VirtualBox 2.2.2. There was a bunch clipboard-related fixes.
