Description
i was running virtualbox 2.04 on my windows machine, with one VM. this one VM was connected to a host interface, which manifested itself as a network controller under the "network connections" folder in the windows host, and was named "virtualbox host interface 1" (the default name when creating a new host interface). i upgraded from 2.0.4 to 2.0.6 using the installer (didnt change any options, just hist "next" until it finished). during the installation the "virtualbox host interface 1" interface was deleted (no longer appeared in "network connections") - which caused an error when booting the VM.
the bug itself is that when editing the VM settings , under the "network" properties, the old host interface appears, in italic font (slanted) and cannot be removed. i cant find any way to remove this (now deleted) interface from the VM settings.
i've created a new host interface and set the VM to use that in the meantime.
Obsolete as we'll replace the TAP host interface networking completely in the next major release.
