I have tried to install F10 on VBox - after all packages were installed from DVD I did a VM reboot (to continue installation from virtual Hard Disk) and got the following error: "FATAL: INT18: BOOT FAILURE"
Host: Windows XP SP2, 32-bit, VirtualBox 2.0.6, Intel Core 2 Q6600 CPU
Guest: Fedora 10 32-bit DVD

Replying to chag:
same here with vbox 2.1.0 on linux (mandriva 2009) host and Guest Fedora 10 32-bit DVD
Same problem here WinXP SP2 32-bit host. Fedora 10 DVD ISO image mounted on the guest CD drive.
VBox 2.1.2.

I'm quite sure this is a bug of the F10 installation disk. Just remove the ISO image and the VM will boot fine from the hard disk. When booting with the ISO, press ESC to get the boot menu. Select Boot from local disk and press TAB. You will see the command .localboot 0xffff which is wrong because this means INT18h. If you change this command to .localboot 0x80, it boots fine.

I have seen this particular error with more than just the Fedora 10 CD. IIRC, I was getting this error when I chose a 'boot from hard disk' option after booting to a menu from a CD-Rom.

This problem is still relevant as of VBox 3.0.10
BTW: Fedora 11 has similar problem.

Tested 3.2.0
This problem is still relevant as of VBox 3.2.0
The problem seems in Fedora itself, that the CD bootloader cannot correctly chain-load from HDD.
But I have idea for workaround: VBox could change the default boot order for Fedora guests to be HDD->CD/DVD (instead of CD/DVD->HDD as it is now).
This is relevant for all Fedoras 10...13

My best idea: change default boot order for Fedora/Red Hat/OEL guests: HDD->CD-ROM->Floppy
Otherwise please close this bug as WONTFIX.
This bug is relevant for Fedora 10/11/12/13 and RHEL 6 guests.

Still relevant for 4.0.4
I recommend changing the default Boot Priority for new Fedora and RHEL guests in Qt GUI.
HDD->CD->Floppy
This will solve the problem.
