Winxp disk does not start/install

Description
When mounting the cdrom (dev/cdrom) the inserted WinXP disk starts and the content is displayed onscreen; that is all that happens clicking on the "setup.exe" file gives: cannot access /media/cdrom0/..../setup.exe This happens with several XP and 2000 cd's (official onesand also with a oem disk)
How do I proceed to install?
