Description
Environment: VB 1.4.0 running under a vanilla install of Ubuntu 7.04.
VB works fine with other VMs eg, Win98 and Win2k VMs function perfectly.
Problem: Arises when installing OpenBSD 3.7, 3.8, 3.9 and 4.0. Irrespective of how the hard drive is configured and its size, the OpenBSD installer kernel reports the drive details as follows:
wd0 at pciide0 at pciide0 channel 0 drive 0: <ST506> wd0: 1 sector PIO, CHS, 68MB, 1024 cyl, 8 head, 17 sec, 139264 sectors wd0(pciide0:0:0): using PIO mode 0
Disklabel subsequently fails to format the drive because of timeouts.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
Same goes for OpenBSD 4.1 on Debian Etch host.
