error when set high memory

Description

i have guest OS windows XP and 2003 with memory 1,5gb per OS run fine, although all run. but when i set this guest OS with 2gb memory i have error "GURU MEDITATION -75 (VERR_MAP_FAILED"

i don't know about this error maybe bug or i have error setting in VirtualBox

Status:	new → closed

You will not be able to use 2GB of RAM with an x86 host. If you require to assign that much memory to a VM you have to run VBox on an x64 host. The reason is the address layout of Windows (2GB for userland, 2GB for kernel).

Maybe it makes sense to decrease Max RAM in GUI then ?
