OpenSolaris 2009.06 and SXCE build 115 x86 using either UFS or ZFS as host operating system. Running a guest VM in VirtualBox 2.2.4 in the global zone works.

Running VirtualBox in non-global zone when trying to start a guest VM results in this error:

This problem also exists with VirtualBox 2.2.2 but with VirtualBox 2.2.0 a guest VM (FreeBSD 7.2) can run in a non-global zone.

Did you setup the zone as mentioned in the User Manual section 2.4.5?

Yes I did. Apparently you didn't read that VirtualBox 2.2.0 works, but later release (2.2.2, 2.2.4) don't work and receive the NS_ERROR_FAILURE . Replying to ramshankar:

FreeBSD 7.2 runs successfully in VirtualBox 3.0.2 in a non-global zone.

OpenBSD 4.5 run in VirtualBox 3.0.2 in a non-global zone but receives a lot of segmentation faults.
