Cannot install Windows 2000 Professional guest

Description
Installation of Windows 2000 Professional would cause restart of the VM after the network step, and will repeat the setup (Locale, CD-key etc.) upon reboot. This will loop indefinitely, and I have yet to have success in a total installation.
Powering the machine off and then on, without the Windows CD in the drive, would cause a Guru Meditation.
