RDP via GUI is very flaky, rdesktop stalls at "Connecting..."

Version: 1.4.0 Host: Kubuntu Guest: WinXP App starting VM: VirtualBox GUI

In the VM settings, RDP port is 0. I try to connect to rdp:/hostname:0 . Port 6002 is open on the host, the other 600n are closed. Going there per netcat says nothing, no "RDP" returned.

The guest comes up fine in the GUI on the host. But most of the time when I try to connect from outside via RDP, krdc/rdesktop just stalls when trying to connect. Sometimes, it works. I can't see any reliable pattern. It just worked after the 20th or something attempt

Try again with 1.5.0 (due out soon). We've made a lot of fixes to RDP.

With Krdc 4, the problem does not appear.
