Win2008datacenter sp1 screen suddenly turned Black

I was working in Visual Studio 2008 and when I was typing some text the screen suddenly turned black.
Not sure if the system was dead but could not see anything besides the black screen.

Having the same problems when trying to install something on the Virtual.
I think it is caused when using multiple cpu's. When I change the setting to 1 cpu everything goes oke.
