Turning on VT-x causes a crash during the windows 98 installation and has to be turned off until the installation is completed. This crash occurred halfway through the installation process.

Trying to install w98, at the first reboot, w98 can´t go on with the instalation. After this first reboot the instalation should go on but stops there. I turn off the VM an turn on again. W98 starts por the first time and freeze there.

I sheepishly just realized the comment by sandervl73 reads host VT-x. Oops. I'm going to try that.
However, regardless of whether disabling host VT-x is a successful work-around, I still wish that VBox didn't Guru-Meditate under these circumstances.

Please reopen if still relevant with VBox 4.0.4.
Try to turn on VT-x in your host BIOS & VM.
