Description (last modified by )
Hello!
My Host OS is Windows Vista 64 Ultimate SP2.
VirtualBOX installs a VirtualBOX-Host-Only-Network-Conection. This network conection crashes the Windows Live Messenger video conection. The Windows Live Messenger show this message: "Messenger is not availible. Please try again later. (0x8ac70013)"
If the VirtualBOX-Host-Only-Network-Conection is disable the Windows Live Messenger video conection works smoothly.
Best regards, Thorsten :-)

Same here with Windows XP SP3, both live mess and Virtualbox (3.0.13) up to date. Disabling Host-Only-Network-adapter in XP connection manager does not allow video connections with live messenger. I have to remove the host-only-adapter in control panel-system-hardware. Because all other network traffic is perfect (hamachi, ssh, etc.), I would guess that Live Messenger is getting confused by the virtualbox adapter. So maybe a bug report to MSN would be an additional idea. I tried brigding (host-only and second physical network adapter) at the XP side, with success as far it concerns VirtualBox Ubuntu guest, but with the same problems for Messenger. After disabling Host-Only-Network-adapter in XP connection manager, enabling was possible, but connection in Vbox guest was only regained after reinstalling Host-only-adapter in Virtualbox preferences.
