Description
Right now, when the VM is booting up, the Host window constantly resizes through the VM BIOS screen, OS boot splash and then finally loading the OS GUI. I wish there was an option to force the Host window to maintain the same dimensions regardless of what the guest OS was doing. Additionally, it would be nice to be able to specify a background color for the window when it was bigger than what the Guest OS needed. Usually, the guest OS has a black screen when of some sorts when it is in a phase where it can't be resized and so it the gray looks odd to me. Attached is a simple mock up.

I didn't quite understand from your description whether you found the option in the machine menu of a running guest to disable automatic resizing.

Yes, I know of that option but that doesn't fix the problem: When you start the Virtual machine, as VirtualBox goes from the BIOS, to the OS boot screen, to the OS Desktop, it resizes 3 or 4 times. I wish there was a way to keep it from resizing and instead remain the same size, like 1024x768 even if the BIOS screen does not have that resolution.
