Description
3.0.6 Linux Host OS crashed with VT-X enabled on 2.4 linux guest
IdecoICS Crash Host OS (Ubuntu 9.04) when run with VT-X enabled.
Other linux kernels also crash host OS (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/download/trueimage/) boot-CD.
I have Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU E7600 @ 3.06GHz.
Ubuntu as guest works fine with VT-X.
IdecoICS and Acronis boot image crash HOST OS (!) during startup.
Kernel panic occurs in host OS. (See http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20733&p=99261#p99261)

During kernel boot (or early userspace (something like hwclock command), but less probable)
I'll try it with verbose messages enabled in guest kernel.
Do you need some info from host OS? (kernel crash screen dump, or maybe something else...)

Well, with HOST kernel 2.6.28-15-generic #52-Ubuntu SMP, and enabled VT-X, guest os just hanging after the line "Uncompressing linux ... OK Booting the kernel".
Sometimes, i have in HOST dmesg:

I have tested: Booting from CD
http://dl3.ideco-software.ru/IdecoICS/IdecoICS_322_128.iso
with: setup100hz init=/bin/bash
will trigger bug. No need to install.

Can' reproduce this crash. Could you attach the VBox.log file of such a session?

No, I can't.... When guest hange, but host OS live, nothing interesting in the log.... When gust hang and host OS hang too, interesting data can't be written......
I can attaach the photo of kernel message (I use modprobe radeonfb and acheive very high text-resolution, so i can see many data on the console. Sometimes, when i use headless mode, no messages printed on console.....just hanging.
(My host OS and hardware is working OK, Host Ubuntu, and guest ubuntu works very fine. I have tested hardware with memcheck )
I suppose it is the conflict with some of my drivers. Will try to test with the minimum of them.

segfault at 354e45dc ip b4e8ba8e sp bfe45c10 error 4 in VBoxVMM.so[b4e18000+159000]
I think there is place where bug in VirtualBox

Could you please check if it's possible to get Core dump?

Forced core dump of hang guest OS. Nothing interesting at host os.
P.S. Will try to acheive host os kernel panic and/or vbox segmentation fault. If Will, core will be attached.

Right, but anyway please attach a VBox.log file of a VM session. What I'm interested in is your exact VM configuration (which is visible in the VBox.log file).
