I think the crash occures when I wake up Ubuntu after having previously called 'hibernate' command from console on Ubuntu. Btw. when I call hibernate, I can see a message 'hibernate:Warning: Tuxonice binary signature file not found.'.

Please reopen if you can reproduce this Guru Meditation with VBox 3.1.6. Attach a VBox.log file in that case.

There were some stability fixes in VBox 3.1.2, could you check if the problem persists after you upgraded to this new version?
