Description
it seems the new alpha 2 versions of the various Ubuntu's have broken in VB. some will install partially. some features aren't running. the guest additions don't install properly. Just a head's up.

Ubuntu 10.4 no longer ship hal, and VirtualBox uses this both in the host code (for USB device enumeration) and in the Guest Additions (for loading the mouse driver). On my todo list...

Should be fixed as of version 3.1.8 of the VBox Guest Additions.

Pre-release versions of software often have these problems. I do not have these with 10.04, but I am very careful not to install partial upgrades. So watch out for this. The only issue that I know of is one with the mouse and adding the VBox mouse statement to the /etc/X11/xorg.conf will work around this. You may actually need to create the xorg.conf file depending on when you started the beta testing of 10.04.
