Virtual Box 3.1.2 addons set the date to March 2006 on Linux Fedora 11 guest

Description

Hi, I'm using the virtual box 3.1.2 on WinXp host. I had successfully Installed Fedora 11 on it, but after Installing the Add-ons, the date was changed to point to March 2006, and I was not able to change it using the "date"

It causing me problems when compiling softwares.

attached is the Vbox.log

as you can see I kept the name proposed by Virtual bow when saving the log. its "guest+date+time". the date is pointing to March 16 2006.

Hmm, in that case it really seems that your host clock is somehow mis-configured. VBox is using GetSystemTimeAsFileTime() to retrieve the current system time in UTC.

I'm not familiar with Vbox but is there any way to fix this?

Again, I think this is a mis-configuration of your host and other applications will most likely mis-behave as well. Which time zone do you have set?

Exactly as you have said Frank, I fixed the date in my host clock. It's OK now.
