Description (last modified by )
When trying to send a Wake on Lan to a client machine from a Windows 7 computer running Vitualbox, the magic packet seems to be getting blocked by the Virtualbox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter. Disabling the adapter in device manager allows for normal wake on lan packet transmission. This does not appear to affect Windows XP in my testing.
Host machine has a Realtek RTL8101E NIC and runs Windows 7 Professional.
