Aliens versus Predator 2 fails to start switching resolution multiple times and reporting "AVP2 Error: Couldn't set D3D Emulation mode" leaving no crash logs.
Problem applies to demo too, using fresh installation of Windows XP SP2 and Guest additions with D3D support installed in safe mode.
