Invisible window borders on linux windows with compiz effect enabled in seamless mode

Reported by: sekmet Owned by:
Component: GUI/seamless Version: VirtualBox 3.1.2
Keywords: compiz seamless 3d-acceleration Cc:
Guest type: other Host type: Windows

Description (last modified by aeichner)

When compiz effects are enabled inside a linux guest on a windows host, after switching to seamless mode the linux window's borders and title bar are not drawn on the screen and aren't clickable either.

Compiz works fine in window mode and 3D acceleration enabled in Virtualbox. And seamless mode also works when compiz is disabled.

It seems seamless mode is simply not registering the compiz window borders. Allowing us to specify a margin around your current definitions for windows could be an easy fix while you try to get detection of compiz window manager.
